For Day Three in our Twelve Days of Crafting series, we’ve got an adorable kids craft for you. The ultimate in recycling – turn a few empty toilet paper rolls into this adorable tree! We love projects using anything repurposed and your little ones will love having their works of art displayed for the holidays. Amy Anderson of Mod Podge Rocks helped to whip up this project using Apple Barrel and Mod Podge. Get the tutorial and gear up for crafting!
T.G.I.F. It is the start of the weekend, and that means it is time to get crafting. The weekend is the best time for crafting DIY projects, and today we want to inspire you to make these easy DIY burlap utensil holders. To close out our weeklong celebration of Earth Day, we thought these burlap utensil holders would be a perfect ending. This is a great example of how you can take an item, and reinvent it into something amazing. Debbie from Debbiedoo’s created these burlap holders using Apple Barrel paints and FolkArt peel and stick stencils. To see step by step how Debbie created this project click here. We hope you have a craftastic weekend!
To continue our weeklong celebration of Earth Day, today we are sharing with you an eco friendly project. Check out these Monogram Pots. How cute are they? Not only are they cute, they make a great Mother’s Day present. Kim from The Celebration Shoppe had helped her little one make these pots. These pots were made using Mod Podge washout and Apple Barrel paints. After her son finished decorating the pots, he planted some flowers inside. What a perfect kid’s craft for them to make for Mother’s Day. Not only does this make a great Mother’s Day gift, but also it is an overall great spring craft. Click here to find all the supplies used to create this project, along with their instructions. Enjoy!
Are you or your kids a messy crafter? Come on be honest. If you are know that it’s perfectly normal to be a little messy, while you are being crafty. It kind of goes with the territory, but lucky for you we here at Plaid create products with our consumer in mind.
Looking to make a craft project that welcomes spring? Well we have just the thing, check out this DIY Angry Birds Birdhouse. Unless you have been living under a rock, you have heard about Angry Birds. Regardless of your age, people young and old love Angry Birds. They have become a staple symbol in recent pop culture. Not only are they popping up in the media, they are popping up in the craft world. Molly from Just a little Creativity created this project with her kids. How cute is this? Molly made this birdhouse using Apple Barrel paints and Mod Podge washout. For those of you new to this Mod Podge washout formula, it is very similar to the regular Mod Podge. The biggest difference is that this formula will wash out easily from clothing and furniture. This is the perfect formula to use when crafting with kids. The complete step-by-step instructions, and full supply list for this project can be found here.

During our time at the CHA Winter 2013 show we were lucky enough to have some amazing craft bloggers inside our booth. One of those bloggers was Melissa from Number 2 Pencil (http://www.number-2-pencil.com/). In this video watch as Melissa creates this awesome Mod Podg wooden plaque. Melissa made this project using a stencil she designed, Apple Barrel paints, and Mod Podge Matte. This project is great to use as decor in your home. Feel free to change up the design and the paint colors.
