Wednesdays with Handmade Charlotte: DIY Folk Art Painted Matryoshka Doll Pin Cushion Craft Tutorial

By Handmade Charlotte

Matryoshka dolls hold a special place in my heart. My grandparents are Lithuanian, and would give these nesting dolls to all of their grandchildren for the holidays. I was especially fond of this tutorial because it combines two of my favorite things in the world–sewing and painting. Check out this clever DIY that walks you step by step through the easy instructions. Take a look at the cute measuring tape that peeps out the back! Have fun crafting this week!

Web Wednesday: Stenciled Halloween Door Décor Idea

Tired of scary Halloween decor? Looking for some Halloween decor that is a bit more chic? Well we have a solution for you, try creating this stenciled Halloween door decor. Shannon from the blog, Madigan Made, used one of the trendiest supplies out right now, embroidery hoops, to create this cute craft. Since the hoop is in a circle shape, she decided to decorate it as a pumpkin. Shannon used several Martha Stewart craft supplies to create this project. If blood, monsters, and spider webs aren’t your cup of tea here is a Halloween craft project that will still let you get in the spirit of this festive holiday.
