Martha Stewart Craft Glass Paint and Stencil Giveaway

It’s the start of a new week and we want to make it a great one, by announcing another giveaway here on Paint Me Plaid. This month we are so excited about the launch of the new Martha Stewart Craft Glass Paint program. This new line features glass paints, adhesive stencils, tools, and more. You can find this new line currently available exclusively at Michaels. This week we are giving away 5 of the new glass paints along with 2 adhesive glass stencil patterns. Adhesive stencils are ideal for using on curved surfaces like vases, bottles, and pottery. They’re repositionable and removable for precise placement. We are awarding this prize to one lucky Paint Me Plaid reader.

Make it Monday: Elegant Halloween Decor

Happy Monday! Hope you had a good weekend. If you visited your local craft store I am sure you couldn’t help but notice all the Halloween decorations. Has it gotten you in the mood to craft? Seeing all these holiday decorations could be a little overwhelming, and you maybe stumped at what to make. Well no worries, we want to share a great project idea from Laura Bray. These romantic blocks allow you to rearrange your Halloween décor to mix and match your mood. Laura created these blocks using FolkArt and Mod Podge. They are very unique, and very simple to create. All the supplies you need are listed below, along with their instructions. To see more craft project from Laura visit her blog, .

Plaid Supplies:

FolkArt Acrylic Paint-2576 Vivid Orange,  FolkArt Acrylic Paint-4032 Licorice, Mod Podge, FokArt Peel & Stick Stencil-Architectural Fleur-30457

Other Supplies:

Unfinished wood blocks, Polka dot scrapbook paper

Instructions:

  1. Paint the wood blocks in orange and black.  Allow to dry completely.
  2. Using Mod Podge, apply a piece of scrapbook paper to the block and then add the scrapbook paper and/or decorative papers.  For easy sizing when cutting out your decorative papers, I recommend that you measure the size of your block surface and subtract a ¼”. Set aside to dry.
  3. On some of the sides that you did not apply decorative paper to, stencil designs.
