Decorative pillows are a great accent piece that is sure to make any room in your home more stylish. In home good and furniture stores there is definitely no shortage of decorative pillows, but often times those pretty pillows cost a pretty penny. Why not make your own? It’s really not that hard especially when using FolkArt painting stencils. Laura Whitlow designed these modern stenciled pillows. These are a contemporary set of pillows created with FolkArt paint and stencils. To create these for yourself find all the materials needed below, and click here for the instructions.

Happy Friday! We have made it through another week and the weekend is here. Weekends are a perfect time to craft by yourself or with your family or friends. Looking for something to make, we want to suggest this awesome Instapillow. Love the name of this project by the way, it’s very clever. Melissa from Look What Melissa Made created this pillow using a new product of ours, Mod Podge Photo Transfer medium. This product is so cool. It allows you to take any picture of yours and transfer it to a surface. See below the supplies needed to make this project, and click here to learn step-by-step instructions. Have fun creating your own pillow this weekend. Happy crafting!

The time is almost here. Mother’s Day is only in a few short days. While I already have gotten my Mom’s gift, I am now having second thoughts after seeing these lovely Martha Stewart Stenciled Pillows. Pillows are a great gift to give, and a wonderful project to make. An accent pillow can really change the dynamic of any room in your home. Fireflies and Jellybean created these pillows using several items from the Martha Stewart craft line. What also really caught my eye were the colors used in this project. Yellow and dark blue hues compliment each other very well. If I were to make these pillows I would put them on a patio chair. Have you ever created an accent pillow?

How long does it take you to get out of the holiday coma? A holiday coma is the state of being where you unconsciously let your holiday decorations stay up way after the holiday have ended. You know some people still have their Christmas tress up, and won’t take them down til February I can understand why some people are not in a rush to dismantle their holiday decor. It is festive, fun, and can easily put a smile on your face. In case you are still in the mood to craft another holiday themed decoration, let me suggest this Deer Family Throw Pillow. This pillow was designed by, Beckie, over on Infarrantly Creative. To create this adorable pillow Beckie used Plaid’s Simply Screen Kit. During the holiday season many families gather together. It’s often a great time to reconnect with your loved ones, and spend quality time together. While you are with your family you might start to ponder about your family history or genealogy. That’s exactly what inspired Meg from Mega Crafty to create this adorable pillow. Meg used Plaid’s Simply Screen DIY Kit. This design is very nice and has a classic vibe to it. It makes a great home decor item, and could also be a great gift to create for a family member. Click here to see how Meg created this project. She also gives you a free printable to go along with this project. Thanks so much Meg for sharing this wonderful pillow with us.

Our friends over at Tatertots and Jello used one of the new stencils from the Martha Stewart Paint Line to create this adorable pillow cover. OMG, these pillows are so cute! I want one of them for myself. Click here to see how this project was made, and read a review of the new Martha Stewart paint line. There are several other bloggers that I am sure will be showing off their projects using this new line. We will be sure to showcase as many of them that we find, in order to give you some inspiration on all the possibilities you can create.
