Happy Friday everyone! Are you on a long weekend due to the 4th of July? If so, this means you’ll have some extra time to craft this weekend. Craft some jewelry this weekend, but not just any jewelry, mod melt jewelry. Did you know that with this new product line created by Cathie and Steve, you could create jewelry items? It’s true, just check out these gilded vintage earrings and pendant.
OMG! Now that the warmer months are here, it’s time to accessorize. The spring and summer are prime times to get creative and stylish with your fashion accessories. Instead of heading to a department store to buy something, why not make it?
This summer style your look by adding a vibrant and trendy accessory. A timeless piece is a charm bracelet. This type of accessory can be worn all year long, and paired with a day or evening look.
You will sparkle with this nautical bracelet. This bracelet was created by Plaid’s in house design team, and it features several Martha Stewart crafts pendants and charms. Beautifully designed charms, pendants and cabochons are the perfect centerpiece for your next project.
Earlier this week, we here at Plaid got the chance to do something really fun. We had a lunch and learn event, featuring the new Martha Stewart Crafts ® Jewelry line. The Martha Stewart Crafts ® jewelry program takes jewelry making to a whole new level of sophistication, with innovative products and techniques that allows you to create your own unique fashion statement.
This broad line includes over 240 items tailored to every level of jewelry crafter: beautifully designed charms, pendants, and findings; rhinestones and exquisite Czech glass beads; and enameling paints, jewelry glazes, and epoxy clays.
The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to what you can create with Mod Podge. One trend we have recently seen an upswing in is jewelry crafting with Mod Podge. Mel from MamamBuzz created some fabulous DIY jewelry using several items from Plaid’s Mod Podge line. Mel made some necklaces and rings using the podgeable shapes, and they look great. This is a perfect project to make over the weekend, and then use as gifts to give on Valentine’s Day. To learn step by step how to make this project click here.
