Tutorial Tuesday: Simply Screen Stenciled DIY Pillow Project from Tatertots and Jello

It’s day 2 of Simply Screen week here on Paint Me Plaid. Today we are showing off this project that was created by Jen, from one of our favorite craft blogs, Tatertots and Jello. When I first saw this pillow case, I was so amazed. It looks like something I could see in Pier 1, or another home decor store. I love it. Jen created this stenciled quatrefoil pillow using Plaid’s Simply Screen DIY Kit. Click here to see step by step how Jen created this project. This is a great and inexpensive way to add some holiday decor to your home.

Make it Monday: Simply Screen DIY Holiday Design from Pretty Hand Girl

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Did you craft anything? Well today I wanted to show off this adorable screen printed t-shirt, that was created with our Simply Screen DIY Kit. This project was created by Brittany, from Pretty Hand Girl. She did an awesome job making this t-shirt for her little one. A perfect design right on time for the holidays. Brittany has written a very detailed and informative blog post on how she created this t-shirt, and used our Simply Screen Kit. Click here to learn how to re-create this project. Also make sure you view her video tutorial on this project also. I love that she made a video. Videos are another great way to learn how to craft.

Make It Monday: Storage Ottoman

I’m not done with organization projects – I want to share with you a few more ideas for storage.  Not just plain storage though, because who likes that?  Dressed up storage.  Decorated storage.  This ottoman project by Cathie and Steve using Simply Screen is the perfect solution to my storage woes.  An ottoman like this serves a dual purpose: a foot rest AND a place to put goodies.  I love adding fun embellishments to simple pieces, and you can do the same.  Find the complete project instructions here.

Screenprinting Made Easy

I’ve been interested in painting on textiles recently, and I have to give major props to the Simply Screen line because I LOVE the paint!  The line is great because it has vibrant colors and stays soft after being washed. I’m not just saying that either – I’ve actually tried it and it’s the best textile paint I’ve used to date.  In addition to the paint, there are several screens available with many designs (like the one above).  I really like easy and quick when I’m making gifts, and Simply Screen is perfect.

Get instructions for the shirt above here.
