Wednesdays with Handmade Charlotte: The Best Summer Ever

I’m having a great summer and it’s been filled with so many ideas, that I can hardly drag myself out of the studio. I wanted to share with you some projects that we featured on Handmade Charlotte. I’m in Love with Mer Mags projects that she made for us exclusively. We always use FolkArt in all of our projects, because the quality is amazing and the color is super vibrant. Check out the projects below, the color on all of them just pops!

Enjoy the Fourth of July, and I will light a sparkler for you! Keep painting and remember I would love to see your summer projects, so feel free to send them to paintmeplaid@gmail.com.

XOXO,
Rachel

DIY Wooden Gradient Blocks

School may be out for the summer but that doesn’t mean you child’s learning has to come to halt. Especially if it’s fun and comes in the form of a toy! Create these fun blocks that your kids can use to play with later. This project will help you learn how to create beautiful hues.

Web Wednesday: 4th of July Wall Art

No matter the holiday I am always so amazed at all the creative crafts people come up with. One that recently caught my eye for the 4th of July was this chevron wall art. It probably caught my eye because I am obsessed with the chevron trend we have been seeing all year. For some they may be over it, but I am still embracing it. Cheryl from That’s What Che Said created this project. Aside from the chevron the message of this wall art also resonated with me. This is a very true and patriotic message. To make this wall art for yourself, you can find the instructions here. Have a wonderful 4th of July!
