Have some hand-painted fun this Father’s Day! Here are 3 fun crafts that will even get the tiniest crafters involved on dad’s tribute day! As always, we dipped into our Apple Barrel Paint stash and had a blast!
Fabric Photo Mustache Bag

Our first project is a fun fabric photo mustache bag. We printed out a great photo of my father-in-law and my niece Reese, onto a sheet of printable photo fabric. The kids got a big kick out of painting a mustache on granddad! Use this tutorial if you need help stitching the bag.
Apple Barrel Painted Playing Cards

Fifty-two card pick-up will never be the same. The kids hand-painted 52 cards using a variety of colors–let your kids pick their favorites! We used masking tape and then let the kids go wild. Be sure to let the paint completely dry before carefully peeling off the tape. We chose the Apple Barrel Neons–why? Because they’re awesome!
Mountain Top Tie For Father’s Day

Let your toddler splash paint all over a sheet of paper. Once it dries, which should take about 10-15 minutes, take craft scissors and cut the artwork into tiny triangles. I used Mod Podge to attach the triangles to a sheet of copy paper. Next, copy your artwork onto silk photo paper. We stitched the photo paper into a tie using this tutorial. Your husband or father will wear their mountain top tie with pride knowing it’s an original.

The denim used in the tie we made, packs some serious color. The triangles will make any toddler’s painting look like mountains. For my children, I limited the choice of colors to green and blue on yellow paper (so the color didn’t turn to mud).

Please send in your projects, we love to see them! Have a great summer and keep painting!
