This image was found in the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Cottage Style. What I love about vintage is the soft colors – I feel completely relaxed and like I should be sitting outside in a lounge chair with someone fanning me. Shabby chic is popular in home decor, probably because of the relaxed vibe that I mentioned. These shades are perfect for decorating accessories. You can start with a base of cream and add accent colors for something truly gorgeous. The image inspired the following palette.
